About Vermilion Valley Vineyards

The vineyards and winery are located at 11005 Gore Orphanage Road, South of State Route 113 in Henrietta Township, in the central coastal region of Northern Ohio. The location provides easy access to Interstate 80 and State Route 2.  The location within Lake Erie Shores and Islands Wine Trail (for more information visit http://www.ohiowines.org) is less than 8 miles from the shores of Lake Erie, and less than 1 mile from the winery’s namesake – the scenic Vermilion River. Ohio’s wineries situated along the Lake Erie coast enjoy a growing season that is favorably suited for grape cultivation, but the majority of these wineries focus on making wines from native varieties and hybrids.  In addition to offering wines made from labrusca grapes and other local fruit, Vermilion Valley Vineyards intends to distinguish itself as a local grower of vinifera grapes and producer of premium wines.
